Before you are allowed to start a charging session, you are required to create a Clean E account. To do so, hover over "EV Drivers" from the navigation bar, and select "Create an Account". From here you can use your email address to create an account to gain access to the Clean E dashboard. You can also login using Google authentication.
If you have created an account and skipped the payment method step, you can add one by logging in with your newly created account, swiping from the top right through the hamburger icon, and selecting "Profile". From here you can scroll down to "Payment Methods" where you can add a new payment method powered by Stripe. Adding a new payment method will automatically update your default payment method to your newly added card.
From the home page (Dashboard), you can either press "Start Session" or use your camera to scan a QR code on a physical Clean E charger to enter a charger summary page. This page lists the current charger and its costs associated with its property.
To start charging from the "Charger Summary" page, press "Begin Charging". This will attempt to turn on the physical Clean E charger remotely. If the charger fails to turn on, an error message will appear. If the Clean E starts to charge, you will be redirected to the "Active Session" page. This page lists the current live time, cost, and energy usage by the charger for the given session.
To stop charging from the "Active Session" page, press "Stop Charging". This will send a request to the physical Clean E charger to turn off the electricity and bill the account on file for the current time used. To see current cost estimates for charging, you can review the Clean E Terms and Conditions as well as the "Charger Summary" page to see detailed cost information on how Clean E calculates total cost. Once a charging session is finished, the session is stored in your recent charging activity where you can review past activity in your "Recent Activity" page.
